On this day, two years ago I made boozy shallots, peppercorns and thyme on a bed of root vegetable mash with maple syrup. It did not change the course of history, but it is nonetheless, an historical fact and a culinary comfort to me. Facebook memories provided a timely reminder this morning…

Kitchen Highlights With Boozy Shallots

 

Boozy shallots

peppercorns and thyme

on a bed of root vegetable mash

with maple syrup.

Yummy,

 sweet.
